You decide what deserves your hard-earned money.
You decide who or what deserves protecting.
You decide what makes you feel safe.
You decide how free you want to be.
You decide the kind of country you want to live in.
And in case you didn’t know, ALL four members of West Virginia’s U.S. Congressional delegation – Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Jim Justice; and Representatives Riley Moore and Carol Miller – voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill which resulted in the deepest cuts to SNAP and Medicaid programs in U.S. history.1
1 in 5 West Virginians rely on both Medicare and Medicaid to cover medical expenses. Because Medicare is their primary insurance, many will be impacted by the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) on Jan. 1, 2027, when additional OBBB cuts go into effect.2
The OBBB will raise taxes for the poorest 40 percent of West Virginia households, primarily because enhanced healthcare tax credits were not extended.3
Any middle class tax cut will be quite small and, in most cases, completely outweighed by higher tariffs ($2100 per year/per WV household) or the rising costs of food, gas, utilities etc.3
The richest 1 percent in West Virginia will get a tax cut 55 times larger than the average WV household. The richest 5 percent of West Virginians alone will benefit more than the entire bottom 80 percent of households combined.3
Last year, $1 trillion was cut from healthcare programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act to offset tax cuts for the ultra-rich.4
They’re cutting Medicaid, gutting food programs,
and kicking thousands of West Virginians off healthcare.
It’s time we got that money back and put it to work for us.
Coal miners, farmers, truck drivers, teachers, home health aides,
these are the people that made this country great.
But they sold us down the river and it must stop!

From how police engage with the community to whether public transportation is affordable, safe, and clean, to whether affordable housing is being built, local elections shape our communities. Leaving no power on the table means using your vote in every race in every election because it matters.
Though presidential and congressional elections often receive the most attention, the many state and local elections taking place across the country — which will decide who serves as judges, mayors, sheriffs, prosecutors, school board members, and more — have far-reaching effects on the lives of millions of people for many years to come. State, municipal, and county-level elected officials determine policies surrounding health care, education, zoning, economic development, environmental policy, infrastructure, law enforcement, tenants’ rights and so much more.
By voting in local and state elections, you play a crucial role in shaping the political boundaries that determine representation and governance, contributing to a more just and equitable society for all.

A MESSAGE TO FIRST TIME VOTERS from Citizen Z*
I don’t know about you but I’m tired of being angry and feeling helplessbecause the system is broken. I want to do something about it. That’s why I’m voting on Nov. 3rd.
Between now and then, I’m going to figure out what’s really going on and vote for what matters to me – like clean drinking water, protecting women and children from violence, ending genocidal wars and the war in Iran, and lowering the cost of just about everything. If enough of us vote on Nov. 3rd, we will have representatives in Charleston and Washington, D.C. who care about us. This is what I’d expect them to do:
I want every member of Congress and the U.S. Senate to be audited every two years. No more political corruption. No more putting the interests of rich people before us.
I want a constitutional amendment that changes stupid laws like the one that says corporations are people because Dark Money sucks.
I want local control restored to WV communities. “We the People” should be making decisions about where Data Centers and MARL transmission lines go – or don’t go.
I hate what’s happened to sports. I want every NIL law repealed. And if that can’t happen, I want the law changed so we can use (most of) the money to improve WV public schools and lower the cost of going to college for everyone else.
And I’d tell them, we’re just getting started. From where I sit, that’s not outrage. That’s the West Virginia we deserve. Vote on November 3rd.
