The Committee for the First Amendment is holding a concert—"Rise Up, Sing Out: a Concert for the First Amendment"—as counter-programming to Trump's UFC fight on the White House lawn. In alignment with that, our Fairmont friends at Friendly City Indivisible is holding "Sing Out for Peace." We encourage all MICA members to show their solidarity and join them.

Please join Arthurdale Heritage in the Dedication of the Fairfax Slave Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in observance of Juneteenth as well as America 250. The memorial service and program will be held in Center Hall with a short graveside service following at the nearby cemetery. Local poets and musicians will perform, and Dr. Tamara Bailey, Associate Professor of History at West Virginia Wesleyan College, will offer the main address. Light refreshments will be served.
