***THE BIG DAY!*** October 18 - March: Stand with Labor and Working Families, A No Kings Event
MICA will hold a march that focuses specifically on Labor and Working families and aims to build community bridges with those who are at risk from the Trump regime's policies. This is in conjunction with a nation wide effort - we will be heard!
This march will be similar to the one we did at the beginning of April, beginning at 3pm at the Farmer's Market Pavilion and ending at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park Amphitheater at 400 Spruce St. in Morgantown where there will be speakers and other activities. The event schedule looks like this:
3:00pm - March to Amphitheater
4:00pm - Rally with Music
4:30pm - Speakers including:
Emily Tanzey - educator, writer and musician who grew up in Doddridge County WV and uses her music and poetry to help others better understand the complicated Appalachian experience.
If you'd like to help, fill out the form at the link below. We need folks who can help to plan and organize, phone bankers, sign makers, and marshals for the day of the event. Please help! Sign up here!
